Are you due a service?

As we build-up to the beginning of the 2020 golfing season, now is the time to address your equipment and whether it needs some TLC. One of the most common occurrences I see with amateur golfers’ equipment is having worn out grips. There are many factors that can be affected by this including:

- Gripping the club too tightly, causing tension in your hands, wrists and arms.

- Slick grips will lead to difficulty in maintaining clubface control.

- In-consistent shot shapes.

- Drop-in confidence.

So, if you are interested in upgrading your grips this winter, pop into the Pro Shop for more information or to drop your clubs off.

Seeing double

Marc Leishman and Lucas Herbert added to their home nations celebrations by making it a double Aussie delight at the Farmers Insurance Open and Omega Dubai Desert Classic respectively.

Sunday 26th January was Australia Day so Lucas Herbert’s first European Tour victory couldn’t have been better timed as the Victoria native overcame South Africa’s Christiaan Bezuidenhout in a nervy playoff.

The Australian whitewash was completed later in the day, as Marc Leishman kept a host of big names behind him to wrap up the Farmers Insurance Open by one from Jon Rahm to make it five PGA Tour wins for the Aussie.
