Weekly Round Up
A busy week of Club matches has now concluded. On Saturday we welcomed a team from Ashley Wood for the 2nd leg of the Hanvey Trophy. Unfortunately we came 2nd in both legs so the trophy returns to Ashley Wood. The match was played in a great spirit and much fun was had by all. We look forward to trying to win the trophy back next year.
Congratulations to the Monty Team who had an excellent 6up victory against table topping Barton on Sea. A momentum giving result ahead of this week's away trip to Bramshaw.
This past Sunday the men's section competed for the Marsh Cup and Ladies Cup. It was the young guns who led the way this week. The Marsh Cup for best gross was won by Bayley Lewendon with a gross 72 while the Ladies Cup for best nett was won by Thomas Perris with a nett 63. Well done gents!
The Sssssnake is back!
Alan Morris was clearly delighted to be the winner of the 3 putt reptile!

"Winning the big one means so much to me and the family especially the grandchildren. I apologise for missing the placing of the sacred green jacket over my shoulders and photo shoot but I will be back next week for the ceremony, so keep the bubbly on ice!"Over 70's Champion

"Last night in that tight red skirt on the telly, I almost lost control in my thermal pyjamas when Theresa May said those lovely three words Brexit means Brexit! She is hot! Those words inspired me on the first tee this morning to par the 1st, 2nd & 3rd. I felt young again.
Then my mind strayed to that red skirt on the 4th and yes I shanked!! However, I battled back and regained my focus to take the Over 70's trophy sponsored by Borda. I'm so pleased to be British that I'm going to celebrate tonight with a bottle of red from Lidl."Summers Pair ResultIan &

"Well played you guys you were on fire from the first, quite literally. Wibur and I felt we were playing in a smoky haze we were butt useless!" Isle of Wight TourThe seniors' section of the New Forest Golf Club had their traditional tour of the Isle of Wight at this time of year. They played Ryde on Tuesday, 30 May, Cowes on Wednesday, 31 May and Osborne on Thursday, 1 June, staying overnight for two nights.
The weather was brilliant and a good time was had by all. Of course being away for two nights could encourage one to get hammered in the pub but we were very good. Instead we got hammered on the golf course.
Of a possible 18 points in three days we got the princely total of one and a half. The photos that we are allowed to publish in public are below.
