Thanks to one of our members Paul Denne, we are delighted to announce a new caddying service at the Club.
As you can see from the photo, Paul has been putting in hours of training with our new team to ensure no horsing around while they are at work!!
A massive thank you to all the members and guests who have competed in the 2017 Am-Am. This year's competition has been played in memory of Mick Wheeler and we have raised over £1,400 in aid of Macmillan Cancer. We hope everyone had a great day and our thanks must go to Chris Hollis on his efforts on organising the event.
The other main winner of the day was
Chris Hollis who with a stunning shot on the 11th secured the star prize of the use of a brand new Audi for a weekend which was generously supplied by Salisbury Audi.
Chris to his credit put the prize back to be auctioned off to raise even more funds for the worthwhile charity.
Rickie Jeal was the lucky person who won the auction and will be driving round in the stunning car very soon!
The Entertainer:
"Coops and I were ready to party BIG TIME! Tucking into Sue's healthy option at the clubhouse we were discussing something special for our local women's institute. I was going to open the show with my favourite Tom Jones number "Sex Bomb" and Coops (Saturday's second sexiest player) was going to do one of his special dances when we heard that Terry "I must dash" Jones had carded a 42 pointer. What a party spoiler! Sorry ladies to disappoint but no show tonight we've lost our "loving feeling" another favourite of mine."Terry - 42,
Steve - 38,
Coops - 37. Well played
Terry, nice one.
Green Jacket next week plus live draw of round 2 of the summer pairs!
We must complete the remaining Round 1 matches ASAP to ensure the completion of Round 2 by July 2nd. Remember matches can be played any day or evening.
A few ladies took part in the Am-Am on Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed themselves, especially President
Ann Spurrett who had a Nearest The Pin (so nearly a Hole-in-one) at the 14th. Well done
Ann a super shot! As we know the event was in memory of Mick Wheeler and we ladies enjoyed a drop of Drambuie, a bottle kindly donated by Wendy Wheeler - we all got home safely afterwards!
On Wednesday we have an away match at West Wellow - Good luck to the Ladies team.
Ray Kelly won the Seniors Millennium Shield stableford format competition with his score of 36 points.
