Club news

Bridport Bowl

Congratulations to our Bridport Bowl team. NFGC won out in a hard fought game against Romsey GC 3 & 2 in a home tie last weekend.

Well done gentlemen.

Seniors section

Seniors Out of Luck!

The seniors have had their first two match of the summer away at Southampton and home to Christchurch.

The seniors went down 5 matches to 1 against Southampton. According to the Captain it was all to do with his ball being lost on the 8th despite it covering the flag!

The senior's had a chance of redemption against Christchurch. Alas and alack they lost the match by 3 1/2 to 2 1/2. However you can't do much about the winner of nearest the pin on the 11th who admitted he skulled his ball, hitting the base of a tree to the right of the green. The ball apparently flew up in the air and got him nearest the pin.

You know then it's not going to be your day.

Senior Competition

It was Steve Duckett and Dave Barrett who received the first Seniors trophy of the year as the winning pair of the Gwyn Lloyd Foursomes Cup. Their score of nett 69 was well clear of runners up Keith Scott and Dave Cardy who carded nett 73.5 with Steve Lupton and Neil Edmondson in third place on nett 74.
